  New HPLC methods have been developed:


This last analytical procedure involves the saponification of the samples which results in any esters being hydrolyzed.  For example, retinol palmitate would be detected as retinol.  Because of the low concentration of some of the vitamins (especially Vitamin D2 or D3) in these matrices, micrograms per gram of material; large amounts of sample are required to be submitted.  Usually 100 grams of material are needed.  The additional sample preparation for these nutritionals,  adds a charge of $100 per sample.   After downloading the sample Request Forms, please write in "saponification required" for these samples in the Special Instructions Section on the Sample Request Form.
